26 May 2006

My body is aching from playing volleyball after months of sedentary living. I would have not come if it were not for Jiggy's despedida Vnyt (term coined by UPVC for volleyball games held at night). Surprisingly, i played a relatively good game for someone who has not practiced for so long. Watching Shakey's Vleague must have paid off.

Yesterday, I watched X-Men III the Last Stand. The mutant's storyline was a pleasant surprise! It is a pretty good follow-up movie to Da Vinci Code's let down performance.
***
Besides my swollen muscles, my face is quite sore not from the pricking of the stubborn pimples by my dermatologist (Dermclinic na ulit ako! plugging?! come face to face with real dermatologists) but from ant bites! Ouch!

Mall of Asia
Mom, Ate, Sean, and I together with two family friends (dad's in Bataan for the lay ministers' outing) tried to explore the newly opened mall perpendicular to the Diosdado Macapagal Avenue. It is enormous! But its name is somehow misleading. According to Greener Magazine a certain mall in China is actually the biggest in the world, in fact, big enough to be "visible from space". Nevertheless, SM Mall of Asia's 386,000 sq. m. gross floor area is something to contend with. A piece of advice before rushing to MoA: wear something that can easily adapt to varying weather conditions because some parts of the mall have an open air ventilation like the iconic SM Baguio less the cold breeze and it can be very humid near the ocean view deck (I wonder how the mall's gonna be when there's a storm.). The mall features an Olympic size ice skating rink and the IMAX theater with its screen as tall as an 8-flr building. As of press time, IMAX is operational for private screenings only.
Try exploring the place maybe in July when most of the upscale shops have already openned and the public interest has mellowed down to avoid high volume of "mallers". Remember to bring your cameras too to catch the amazing sunset!

i watched X-Men at a different mall. Maganda ba cinemas sa MoA? Di ko napanood yung scenes after the credits. Sayang. It really pays off to seat a little longer and give respect to those who made the film. "...released too much emotions..."? nami-miss mo na sigurong magpaka juggernaut! HAHA! :-D

hmmm, same din naman ang cinemas with the other SMs. syempre mas bago lang yun..

yung last scene daw.. remember that guy in coma na diniscuss ni charles sa class however the discussion was interrupted? yung nasa video. apparently, tinransfer ni Charles yung consciousness/mind niya doon sa guy so in effect, he did not die daw..ooops, sorry for those who might read this before watching Xmen, this is somehow a spoiler..

and my being a juggernaut? i didn't know that i am/was.. it would be great though. i just hope i can control it or you better beware..hehe..
