Cruising on Lake Placid

11 October 2005

I'm cruising on this lake of tranquil emerald water. The breath-taking limestone boulders decorated with patches of vegetation stand gallantly on opposite sides. The shout of silence and warmth of the biting cold accompany me as I stay afloat.

But no matter how serene and refreshing this niche is, i still tremble at the mere thought of things unknown-- what lies beneath and what lurks in the dark.

Is this reasonable fear or senseless paranoia?

Again, I tell myself, "be still and enjoy the cruise".

"it must be considered that there is nothing more difficult to carry out, nor more doubtful of success, nor more dangerous to handle, than to initiate a new order of things."

you may want to consider a new theme-- maybe you've soaked yourself too long in that tranquil, placid, flowery, almost fairyland-like atmosphere--dreaming, cruising, looking around silently-- when the Lord has long asked you to do more active work like going out from what has become comfortable, pulling out the weeds, tilling the land, pruning the branches, burning dried twigs and leaves, planting new seeds, etc etc hehe... you may want to..? fear not! He'll never forsake you.
Godblessya!
